In 2012 in a church converted home on the Hawkesbury River, our founder Elise poured her first 100 candles. That first collection was made of five perfumed candles, each recalling a nostalgic, olfactive moment from a typical Sunday when she was eight years old in France.

“Le Soleil smells of the orange juice that my mother used to squeeze for us at breakfast.”
“La Chapelle reminds me of sitting in our village's stone church at 10am, amazed by the incense, myrrh and gold around me.”
“Le Bois is the scent of our dominical walk in the nearby forest after a typical, French long family lunch.”
“La Rose describes all the roses that my grandmother lovingly grew in her garden; I would smell them on my way to her home in the afternoon.”
“Bonne Nuit takes after the calming bath that my grandmother used to infuse for me with fresh or dry lavender every Sunday evening.”
"Then I would go to bed, full of happiness after my perfect Sunday, every week, for 18 years!"
