The Opportunity
Maison Balzac has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Merchandise Operations Manager to join our team.

Responsible for the inventory, logistics, supply chain and product life cycle throughout all channels of the business. This role is accountable for the OTB management, order placement, daily stock movements, forecasting and product reporting. The role requires an analytical mind and the ability to own the complete
merchandising & inventory function within the business.


The Role
- Responsible for monthly maintenance of inventory plans and forecasts at category and style level.
- Weekly analysis of sales performance and ability to make recommendations on repeat orders and inventory
movements.
- Placement of purchase orders with suppliers and managing flow of inventory into our warehouse including
tracking of international shipments and vessels.
- Raising orders in inventory management system CIN7 and applying correct cost prices and BOM’s.
- Responsible for managing supplier deposits and balance payments across multiple currencies. Alongside
managing the maintenance of the payment tracker for cash flow visibility.
- Responsible for allocation of inventory across all channels including, wholesale, retail, ecommerce and
warehouse.
- Key stakeholder in managing 3PL and regular reconciliation of associated costs and invoices.
- Management of all stock adjustments and stocktakes across all channels.
- Internal stakeholder for all technical system integrations including EDI.
- Co-ordination of quality control of goods entering warehouse.
- Management of Warehouse & Logistics Co-ordinator and casual warehouse team.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining the products data base in CIN7.
- Provide accurate and regular visibility on the merchandise availability to the team.
- Provide support to store teams for all merchandise related topics.
- Coordinate warehouse sale activities.


About you
- You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in merchandise management.
- Advanced Excel skills and impeccable attention to detail are a must.
- A commercial and analytical mindset.
- A strong technical understanding of systems and integrations.
- Confident to make qualified insights around the merchandise strategy. 
- Strong ability to interpret data and recommend actions.
- Hardworking, highly organised and proactive.
- Hands on and able to work fluidly to set up systems to support the business. 
- Experience with using CIN7 would be preferred.
